總統返抵國門後嚴肅斥責，誤射事件不應該發生，但行政院卻不檢討，如何解決兩岸溝通無門的問題，以避免使突發事件擴大升級為區域衝突。政府把重點放在有人提前洩密，試圖轉移焦點，何以讓民眾重拾對國軍的信心。
目前兩岸處於冷對抗階段，任何台海上的風吹草動，都可能致使彼此錯估情勢，讓突發意外變成軍事對抗。政府應告訴國人，如何在兩岸毫無互信的僵局中，維持總統承諾的台海和平，這才是需要檢討的核心問題。
